What to Expect on Pick-Up Day

Pick-up day is exciting — you're finally reunited with your feathered friend! Here's how the process works at BST.

Pick-Up Time Windows

Weekdays (Mon-Fri)	9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Weekends (Sat-Sun)	9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Closed	Christmas Day only

Give Us a Heads Up

Please give us approximately 30 minutes' notice before your arrival so we can prepare your bird for pick-up. Here's what happens on our end during that time:

• Remove food and water dishes to prepare for transport
• Set up carrier or prepare the cage for travel
• Clean up and organize your bird's belongings
• Bag all items (food, toys, supplies) for handoff
• Return any refrigerated items (fresh food, medication)

At Pick-Up

• Samantha, Amir, or Amelia will come out with your bird and all supplies
• Brief verbal overview of how the stay went
• Portal gallery remains accessible — full photo and video archive of the stay
• No video update is sent on pick-up day

After You Get Home

Note: Some birds may be quieter than usual for a day or two after returning home as they readjust to their routine. This is normal and not commonly reported, but it can happen.
