Bird Boarding FAQ: Common Questions About Boarding at BST

Frequently Asked Questions About BST Boarding
Here are answers to the most common questions we receive from new and returning clients.
Can I visit my bird during the stay?
In-person visits are not available for safety and security reasons. However, daily photo and video updates via the portal and email keep you connected to your bird throughout the entire stay.
What if my bird needs medication?
Bring the medication with dosage instructions and message us the details before drop-off. Please note that medication administration may incur an additional charge, and BST reserves the right to decline boarding for birds with serious or contagious illnesses.
What if I need to extend my stay?
Contact BST as soon as possible. Extensions are subject to availability and billed at the same daily rate.
What if there's an emergency with my bird?
BST will call you immediately. If you're out of the country, we'll reach you via WhatsApp message and call.
Is there a camera or live feed?
No live camera, but you receive daily photo and video updates. Live temperature and humidity readings are visible 24/7 on the client portal.
Can my bird be with other birds?
Your bird will be in a social environment with exposure to other birds nearby. Direct interaction is only allowed if you approve, birds are similar in size, cooperative, and have up-to-date vet records for safety. Otherwise, they get their own out-of-cage time.
What happens on holidays?
BST is open every day of the year except Christmas Day.
Do you accept all bird species?
BST boards all common companion parrot species. Contact us for exotic or unusual species.
What if my bird has dietary restrictions?
Message or email us your bird's dietary instructions before drop-off. BST follows your feeding plan exactly.
How do I communicate during the stay?
Email, WhatsApp/SMS, or through the client portal comments. WhatsApp and SMS are typically responded to within minutes during waking hours. Email responses follow within a few hours.
What if my bird is a first-time boarder?
Many birds adjust within 1-2 days. BST provides extra enrichment and monitoring for first-timers to help them settle in comfortably.
Can I send toys or treats during the stay?
Yes! Arrange via WhatsApp or email and we can accommodate.
