BST boards birds from our home, providing a warm, residential environment for your bird's stay. Our dedicated boarding space is purpose-designed for avian care and comfort.

Layout & Space

• A finished basement dedicated exclusively to bird boarding
• Separate dedicated play area for supervised out-of-cage time with toys, perches, and enrichment
• Open and social bird suite — birds can see and hear their temporary neighbors
• Zero door and window escape risk — the boarding space is fully enclosed with no direct exterior access. BST has never had an escapee

Safety & Supervision

Your bird's safety is our top priority. The bird suite is a social environment where birds get natural exposure to other birds nearby — they can see and hear their temporary neighbors, which most birds find enriching and comforting.

• Birds only let out together if: owner approves AND birds are similar size AND cooperative AND have up-to-date vet records
• Aggressive birds receive separate out-of-cage time
• AI bird detection system monitors overnight and when staff aren't present — designed to detect cage escapes
• Certain species managed selectively to minimize injury risk
• Zero escape risk — no exterior doors or windows in the boarding space

Enrichment & Stimulation

• Variety of perches, swings, and toys available in the play area
• Foraging opportunities provided during out-of-cage time
• Social interaction with BST staff throughout the day
• Background music creates a calm, stimulating environment
• Every bird is engaged with individually — not just housed

Food & Water

• Fresh water provided and changed multiple times daily
• Your bird's own food is used — we follow your feeding instructions exactly
• Fresh fruits and vegetables offered as supplements (unless instructed otherwise)
• BST Chop (Parrot's Plate) available as an add-on for premium fresh meals
